VENUE, EVENT CENTRE: Event Centre will be situated at "Bikėnų valtinė", by the road No. 179, direction Degučiai - Salakas, on the bank of river Šventoji and Antalieptės lagoon. Here will be Event office and camping for participants. Participants with campers will be accommodated in special camper's site near Salakas town by the lake Luodis, about 10 km from event centre. "Bikėnų valtinė" - it is small river port, which offers many water entertainments for Takas 2012 participants: lake and river tours by boats, water bikes, windsurfers, kayaks and sculls of various levels of difficulty and length as well as exciting night water tours. these are the miracles again and again discovered by the tourists, which surprise with the variety of nature and its uniqueness and flamboyance.
This land is called the blue eyes of Lithuania".Almost all water bodies in the district in one or another way are used for the recreation. The Antalieptės Lagoon and The Sartai Lake attract tourists from all over Lithuania, rivers are often visited by fishermen, whereas the Šventoji River is often chosen for romantic trips by water tourists. There are big and small cycling routes and cognitive paths in Gražutė Regional Park, one can visit mounds and old barrows, impressive natural, cultural and historical objects, the Sea Museum situated in Salakas Town, Energy Museum in Tiltiškiai watermill, Dusetos Art Gallery and Sculpture Park. One of offered interesting routes is the pilgrimage path which shows the examples of old wooden sacral architecture, churches of later times, proude possibility to meet with the community of the Tiberiade Brothers. Only here you can taste the products of culinary heritage the gourmand fish cheese and unique Čižas beer, the recipe of which has been kept even for 150 years. TERRAIN AND MAPS:TAKAS 2012 competition terrain Gražutė, Salakas and Bikėnai forests one of the most complicated and interesting orienteering terrains in Lithuania. Landforms small and middle, highest slopes up to 30 m. Dominate variuos depressions, hills, re-entrants, spurs, small marshes. 70% of competition area - good runable pine and spruce tree forest, other part - middle runable forest with undergrowth, some open cutting areas. Fourth days (June 24) courses will begin and finish in middle runable Bikėnai forest. Middle density of roads, rides and tracks.Maps renewed in 2011-2012 by O-map company Vingis using new orthofoto and Lidar materials. In Salakas (1 day) and Bikėnai (4 day) forests orienteering competition will be held for the first time, in Gražutė forest were held TAKAS 1998 and partly Lithuanian Championships in 2010, 2011. Maps scale 1:10 000, contour interval 2,5 m. Third day (June 23) map scale for groups: D/H18, D/H20,D/H21E, D/H21S, D/H35, D/H40 - 1:15 000, for all others - 1:10 000. For MTBO groups all days scale - 1: 15 000.

1 EUR = 3,45 LT *After 15 June, late entries will be possible only for vacant places. SportIdent electronic punching system will be used. Only H/D8 class will use mechanical punch. SI card rental fee - 1 Lt/day for H/D10-18 classes, and 3 Lt/day for remaining classes. 20% discount for families with 3 and more persons (necessary to note it in entries). 20% discount will valid if 3 or more persons from one family take part in all competition days. Family is person with his/her parents and children. School age participants must pay H/D10-18 start fee, regardless of which course they participate in. The changing of the class is considered as new registration. Registration cancellation: till 17 June 2012 - 100% refund, from 18 June 2012 - 50% refund. *H8,D8 - taped courses with special map at the finish area. Children can run with their parents. *H10,D10 - taped courses (controls on the line). *H12B,D12B - taped courses (controls near the line). *H21N,D21N - courses for adult beginner. Open courses (DIR) - the course without advance registration and without start list. Participants start from S1 at a time suitable for them. Start fee 15 Lt/per day. TRANSPORT:It will be possibility to use organizer's busses to travel to competition centres on 2 and 3 days. Busses will leave from event camping.Ticket price - 7 Lt/person/day. The second day ticket will valid for travel to prize giving ceremony in Zarasai town square. Bus booking ACCOMMODATION:Organizers will offer camping accommodation for participants with own tents. There will be WC, water (non drinking), electrisity, volleyball court, caffee at Event camping.Prices: 7 Lt/per person/per day. Car pass - 20 Lt/per all event. Participants with campers will be accommodated in special camper's site near Salakas town by the lake Luodis, about 10 km from event centre. There will be electrisity, WC, water. Prices: 35 Lt/per camper/per day. It is possible to stay in rural tourism farmsteads near Event centre or competition areas. The prices are 20 - 80 Lt per person/per day. Farmsteads can offer sauna, kitchen, board. Fishing, boats, playground, bicycles for recreation. By your request Event organizers will help to find and book the suitable farmstead for you. The list of farmsteads in Zarasai region you can find at tourism information webpage. PRIZES:Groups winners of each competition day will be awarded by special competitions souvenirs. According to results of all 4 days, the winners will be awarded by medals, competitions souvenirs and sponsors prizes. All H/D8 groups participants who were registered in advance and participate in all 4 courses will be awarded by special medals. |
