VENUE, EVENT CENTRE:Event centre will be situated in Varėna pond island.Varėna is easy accessible by car by road A4. It is 80 km from capital Vilnius. Car rent from 23 EUR/day. HOST TOWN - VARĖNA:
Varėna is a region of forests, sandy plains and inland dunes. The region is not only the largest in terms of area, but also the most wooded in Lithuania.
One-third of the territory belongs to the Dzūkija National Park and Čepkeliai reservation, with a protected marshland of international importance,
which is the largest in Lithuania, with the largest cranberry bogs.Varėna region is famous for preserved unique nature and cultural heritage, healthy and safe environment, unconventional and forest product businesses, tourism and recreational services. Many joiners, carpenters, weavers, ceramicists creating pieces of black pottery may be found in settlements and townships; traditions of wild-hive beekeeping are preserved. Therefore, one of the development priorities of Varėna region is developing unconventional rural business in order to preserve natural heritage and nature. More information about Varėna you can find here. TERRAIN AND MAPS:TAKAS 2015 will take place in fast runnable pine-tree forest with small and middle dune forms. Middle density of paths and rides.All maps are made in 2014 - 2015 using new orthofoto and Lidar materials. Maps scale 1:10 000 (1:15 000 in long distance), h - 2,5 m. For MTBO courses maps scale 1:15 000.

*After 10 June, late entries will be possible only for vacant places. SportIdent electronic punching system will be used. Only H/D8 class will use mechanical punch. SI card rental fee - 0,3 /day for H/D10-18 classes, and 1 /day for remaining classes 20% discount for families with 3 and more persons (necessary to note it in entries). 20% discount will valid if 3 or more persons from one family take part in all competition days. Family is person with his/her parents and children. School age participants must pay H/D10-20 start fee, regardless of which course they participate in. The changing of the class is considered as new registration. Registration cancellation: till 14 June 2015 - 100% refund, from 15 June 2015 - 50% refund. PAYMENT:Start fee must be payed via bank transfer. *H8,D8 - taped courses with special map at the finish area. Children can run with their parents. *H10,D10 - taped courses (controls on the line). *H12B,D12B - taped courses (controls near the line). *H10-14,D10-14 - taped courses for beginner children running with parents. *H21N,D21N - courses for adult beginner. *MB-D,MB-HE,MB-HA - mountain bike orienteering courses. Open courses (DIR) - the course without advance registration and without start list. Participants start from S1 at a time suitable for them. Start fee 5 /per day. ACCOMMODATION:Event camping with basic facilities will be situated in Varėna pond island, together with event centre. Accommodation in own tents and own caravans. Event camping will be open from 18 June till 21 June.Price for event camping - 2 per person per day. Car parking - 10 for all competition days. More accommodation offers you can find at Varėna municipality webpage. PRIZES:Groups winners of each competition day will be awarded by special competitions souvenirs. According to results of all 4 days, the winners will be awarded by medals, competitions souvenirs and sponsors prizes. In groups there are 3 or less participants, only winner will be awarded.Money prizes for DH21E groups. H10-14,D10-14 groups participants who were registered in advance and participate in all 4 courses will be awarded only on the last day. All H/D8 groups participants who were registered in advance and participate in all 4 courses will be awarded by special medals. |
